Features Study Sociology
Sociology is the study of social life and interaction.
It advances such a study in two ways.
First, as a way of seeing, sociology aims to go beyond commonsensical beliefs about how human beings as a group live and think.
Sociology asks you to take a fresh look at a wide range of your social experience: the way you are brought up in your family, how you are educated, how and why you work, what politics means to you, what love means to you, why people form groups, why traditions survive, how nations emerge and disintegrate, and so on.Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies and how people interact within these contexts.
Since all human behavior is social, the subject matter of sociology ranges from the intimate family to the hostile mob; from organized crime to religious traditions; from the divisions of race, gender and social class to the shared beliefs of a common culture.
